My wife and I are fairly long term landlords having owned a number of investment properties. We have had experience with a number of property management companies.
We currently have Trust Property Management look after an investment property we have in Karori, and also our residential apartment in Wellington city. We switched to Jared after becoming quite disgruntled with the service of a major property management company – and facing a situation where we were facing very considerable expenditure to maintain the property. Jared worked with us to very efficiently resolve these matters to the satisfaction of ourselves and the tenants. The upshot was that most of the “issues” were appropriately resolved without the major expenditure being advocated by the previous management company.
In fact we were so impressed with Jared’s service that we asked him to look after the maintenance of our apartment on a retainer basis. Again we have nothing but praise for his service.
Jared is very proactive in the management of our rental property. This allows us to be quite hands off, but be confident that our interests are being taken care of. This is very important to us as we are pitching the property at the higher end of the market – where tenants understandably expect a very well maintained property.
